Domain Settings Outgoing

  • Outgoing Settings: Securence™ receives your mail from your servers, scans it, and then sends it to the recipient.
    • Save Outgoing Settings: Ensure to click Save All Outgoing Settings to apply any changes made.
    • Domain: The name of the domain the changes made here will be applied to.
    • Group: The name of the group that the domain belongs to.
    • Allowed Senders: Only the IP addresses of your servers specified here will be allowed to send mail through Securence™.
    • Bounce Messages: An automated Email message informing the sender of another message about a delivery problem.
      • Send Delivery Failure Notification: Checking this box will send a bounce message back to the sender.
    • Sender Rewriting Service: Checking this box will disable Sender Rewriting Service when delivering.
      • If you disable Sender Rewriting Service you must set your DNS SPF record to allow email from Securence™ servers. The correct DNS SPF record is "include:spf.securence.com".
    • Email Reports: An Administrator can enable reports containing outgoing message data.
      • Send Outgoing Traffic Reports: Checking this box will email reports to the same recipients identified in the Incoming Domain Settings and at the same intervals (daily, weekly, etc.)
    • Spam Filters: Selecting all the filters is a good choice. Any combination of spam filters may be selected.
    • Spam Action: Any combination of options may be set. The actions selected here will be applied to any messages Securence™ identifies as spam.
      • Quarantine the message: Place a check here to send the emails defined as a Spam message to the Quarantine.
      • Send a bounce message: Place a check here to enable automated Email messages informing the sender of another message about a delivery problem.
      • Notify an admin: Place a check here to send an notification to the selected Administrator.
        • Select Admin: Use the drop down menu to select an existing Administrator to be notified when an Email is defined as Spam.
    • Virus Scanners: Any combination of virus scanners may be selected. Selecting all the filters is a good choice.

      • Aggressiveness of Filter: Set how aggressive you would like the filters to be.
    • Virus Action: Any combination of options may be set. The actions selected here will be applied to any messages Securence™ identifies as a virus.

      • Send a bounce message: Place a check here to enable automated Email messages informing the sender of another message about a delivery problem.

        • Select Admin: Use the drop down menu to select an existing Administrator to be notified when an Email is defined as a Phish.
